Courthouse Cultural Center
This refers to the new function of what had traditionally been used as the main judicial head office of Amazonas, the classic building Clóvis Bevilácqua Palace, whose construction was initiated in 1894 during the government of Eduardo Ribeiro, who was originally from Maranhão. Its inauguration was implemented on April 21, 1900, in the government of Colonel José Cardoso Ramalho Júnior, and it had as president for the court of justice the Supreme Court judge Cezar do Rego Monteiro. Since then, up to April 2006, the courthouse had functioned as the main head office of the Judiciary, second judicial instance.
