Customhouse
Next to Manaus Pier, it was opened in 1906.  Raw material from England was used in its construction and it was one of the first buildings to be built in Brazil with block of stones. Nowadays it holds sectors of Federal Treasury.

Bush of Science
Placed at INPA's headquarters, it has a great area rich in vegetation and Amazonian animals.

Chimney Arts Centre
It used to be an important Center of Sewer Treatment. Nowadays it represents an important space of arts presentations/exhibits.

Branco e Silva Handicraft Centre
Varied regional products can be found in this Center. It is also possible to see the production of handicraft pieces, as well as to buy any of them.

Palácio Rio Negro Cultural Centre
For many years it was the head office of the State Government. Nowadays it is a place for exhibits, music shows and theatre. It also holds the Numismatic, Image and Sound museums, Cultural Reference Museum and the State Gallery.

The meeting of the Waters
Amazonas river is composed by the meeting of the Rivers Solimões (muddy Water) and Negro (dark Water). This phenomenon is possible because of the density, temperature and speed of the waters, which are very different between both rivers.

São Sebastião Church
It was build in 1888 and it is party of São Sebastião square and Amazonas Opera house/Theatre.

Nossa Senhora da Conceição Church
It was the first church built in Manaus in 1695. In 1850 it was destroyed by fire, and in 1878 it finally had its construction finished. It has six bells of Portuguese origin and a small museum.

Adolfo Lisboa Municipal Market
A reproduction of the Parisian market "Les Halles". It is the main entrance of the city for the fishing and rural activities production of the State.

Courthouse Cultural Centre
Building where the State Court of Justice used to be. It was inaugurated in 1900 and its architecture reminds the constructions of the second Brazilian Empire with its neoclassic style.

Manaus' Pier
Opened in 1902, it was built by Englishman and its platform is an interesting work of engineering that moves according to the movement of the waters in Rio Negro (Back River).

Mindu's Municipal Park
Green area where we can get in contact with small animal while walking the trail.

Ponta Negra Beach
Located in Ponta Negra road it is the main point for young people in Manaus.  In its sidewalks it is possible to walk, practice sports, watch presentation and local dances. There are also bars and ice creams places along the sidewalk.

Municipal Clock
Imported from Switzerland and concluded in 1927. It was built in order to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the raise of Manaus to the category of city.

Mocó's Reservoir
Opened in 1899 it has an iron intern structure imported from England.

CIGS ZOO
The biggest centre of animals in the Amazonia Region. It shelters all kinds of animal, such as jaguars and birds.

Largo São Sebastião Cultural Center
Opened in 2004, it is a space revitalized by the State Government via Secretariat of Culture. It is located in the historic centre of the city and its objective is to rescue citizenship by means of art. Besides being a place of entertainment and leisure it offers various activities such as history-theatre, dance, music, photography, video and plastic arts in open air.

Billiards Park
It is a place created to promote leisure, practice of sports and entertainment to population. It offers artistic shows and commemorative programming. There you can find Café Bars, kiosks (where you can buy regional delicacy), pizza places, ice-cream places, tacaca place (place that sells this regional food called tacacá), jogging area, library, sports squares, sand soccer field, association soccer field, artificial lake, water fountains, playground, parking lot and theatre stage.
